How is the Chilliwack BC Real Estate Market – February 2021 ?

The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Chilliwack Real Estate Board totaled 533 units in February 2021. This was more than double the levels from a year earlier, climbing 183.5% from February 2020. This was also a new sales record for the month of February.

The overall Benchmark price was $606,600 in February 2021, a gain of 16.1% compared to February 2020.

The benchmark price for single-family homes was $704,600, increasing by 19.5% on a year-over-year basis in February.

By comparison, the benchmark price for townhouse/rowhomes was $497,200, advancing 16.5% compared to a year earlier, while the benchmark apartment price was $303,700, a moderate gain of 5.5% from year-ago levels.

The average price of homes sold in February 2021 was a record 24.5% year-over-year to a record $677,410

There were 587 new residential listings in February 2021. This was an increase of 46% from February 2020. This was also the largest number of new listings added in the month of February in history.
